Overview
Description
Muso has designed our work and research to directly inform and support policy makers and implementers around the world to build high-impact, proactive community health systems. In recent years, requests from governments and NGOs for Muso’s partnership and technical assistance (TA) have accelerated.
The Government Partnership lead (GPL) helps to craft and communicate MoH and Muso’s ambitious plans for health care delivery, research, and advocacy across the community health space nationally. The GPL will conduct a thorough landscape analysis of the country's partnership or direct service implementation, exploring where MoH, Muso and other implementing partners are best placed to pursue partnership for national health system transformation, and build relationships with global institutional donors to align on and finance the national priorities.
The GPL will play a key role in conversations with MoH and be well-placed to provide support to the donor coordination and Muso around potential funding streams for this work. By prioritizing this early-stage relationship in his/her scope of work, the GPL will facilitate Muso’s assessment of the feasibility, interest, and buy-in of institutional actors and the MoHto support a partnership for national health care reform in Zambia beyond the initial Technical Assistance term.
The GPL will play an important role at the intersection of Muso’s partnerships for national, regional and global advocacy, technical assistance, and revenue generation. While the role’s primary function is to cultivate partnership and coordination with MoH, he or she will also work on the the mobilization of resources, the GPL is also expected to contribute to disseminating Muso’s learning for uptake by other partners, and facilitate connections between the TA team and government and other institutional actors.
The GPL reports to New Country Engagement Specialists, and will work closely with the Director of Technical Assistance, and other members of the Muso technical assistance and partnerships teams.
