Muso Co-Founder, Mali Country Director
Djoumé Diakité, MD, is a primary care doctor and received his MBBS from the University of Bamako Faculty of Medicine.He has completed the Global Health fellowship with Initiative at the UCSF, has earned a diploma in Global Health Delivery Intensive Program at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
Prior to Muso, he served as Medical Director of a community health center in northern Mali and as a clinical telemedicine specialist with the International Institute for Communications and Development. As a Muso co-founder, Djoumé has been a principal architect of the Muso model.
He has split his time between the office and field, developing an intimate understanding of the lived realities of Muso’s CHWs and the communities in which they serve. He also has close working relationships with our government partners at local, regional, and national levels.
